For your wedding meal we would normally suggest making a choice off our regular menu or, should you have anything specific in mind, we would be happy to discuss your preferences and do our best to create that special menu. As each dish is priced individually and can be adjusted up to your request, there is a flexibility in matching different budgets. We would also make all our effort to individually cater for those of your guests with special dietary requirements, so that every single person could enjoy their dining experience to the full.
For events of up to twenty you may select up to three choices per course. Your selection should be confirmed at least two weeks prior to your wedding day and there will be no need to pre-order. A set-up/site fee of £150 will apply.
For events of twenty to thirty you may select up to two choices per course. Your selection should be confirmed at least two weeks prior to your wedding day and there will be no need to pre-order. A set-up/site fee of £200 will apply.
For events of more than thirty we will ask you to select a set menu, which should be confirmed at least two weeks prior to your wedding day. A set-up/site fee of £300 will apply.
Residential (exclusive use) and Non-Residential (limited use) Weddings
A Residential wedding is certainly what we would recommend for the obvious advantage that your party will have an exclusive use of our country house (in high season, May - September, there is a minimum of two nights) and enjoy the undivided attention of our entire staff. This provides the perfect ambience to relax and share this special time with your friends and family. If you wish to keep it informal the night before Chef Garry will create a casual or themed menu for your guests on their arrival night. The exclusive use is granted on the condition of booking out all the rooms of the hotel.
For those looking to have a smaller reception that would not be able to fill the hotel up, a Non-Residential wedding is the obvious choice. The limited use implies that you have no or very few guests staying overnight and, thus, your access to the public rooms will have to be limited to the period from 12.30 pm until 5.30 pm, allowing us to resume dinner service in the restaurant for other guests by 7 pm. However, depending on your needs and our circumstances, there will be a possibility of a private room hire for smaller weddings if you wish to let yourselves a bit more time to enjoy your day. Our requirements for the non-residential reception will be the appropriate site fee, as set above, and (optional) private room hire.
Dear Stuart, I am writing on behalf of all the participants of the Highland Fling Tour to thank you and your staff for a very warm welcome to Coul House.”
